Ayumi Kidoko
Born in 1988 in Chiba Prefecture, she graduated from Musashino Art University.
She is a painter.
She believes that the flat representation of figurative elements is a quality unique to painting, drawing inspiration from the distinctively flat compositions of traditional Japanese art forms such as Ukiyo-e and Yamato-e. With meticulous attention to detail, she captures organic forms like marine life, birds, insects, and flowers, infusing her works with a harmonious blend of realism and fantasy.
Her use of contemporary colors—drawn from sources such as illuminations, neon lights, and computer graphics—combined with the vivid hues of insects and tropical birds, has earned her widespread acclaim.

After graduating, he joined Level-5 Inc., a game company known for popular titles such as Yo-Kai Watch. While working as a web designer, he went freelance in 2021. Shortly after becoming independent, he collaborated with the youth fashion brand WEGO, providing illustrations for T-shirts and bags.
In 2016, he was selected to create the poster illustration for the art event Design Festa, which helped bring Ayako Rokkaku into the spotlight. Only ten illustrators are chosen to design the poster each year. While most are selected through the standard application process, he was scouted directly due to his social media popularity during his university years.
