MH Gallery to Present YOSHIKA’s First Solo Exhibition
October 7 (Tue) – 13 (Mon, Holiday), 2025
MH Gallery is pleased to announce the first solo exhibition of contemporary artist YOSHIKA, opening on October 7, 2025. The exhibition will be held under the theme: “Discerning the essence of truth in a contemporary society where the boundaries between the virtual and the real are increasingly blurred.”
YOSHIKA’s practice centers on the ambiguity and uncertainty that arise from the intersection of the “real” and the “digital.” In recent years, the proliferation of fake news and the rapid advancement of AI technologies have rendered the authenticity of information ever more obscure. Against this backdrop, the artist raises a fundamental question: What do we truly mean when we speak of “facts” or “truth”? Through works that deliberately preserve a state of ambiguity within digital expression, YOSHIKA seeks to expose the inherent instability of the digital realm and the fragility of reality itself.
Beyond digital aesthetics, YOSHIKA’s works also encourage viewers to reconsider the psychological effects of life in a networked society—such as the anxiety of being unable to read another’s expressions online, the dissonance between virtual and physical realities, and the erosion of interpersonal trust.
